Incoming Freshmen

We will play three levels of Football at San Pasqual; Varsity, JV and Freshmen.

As the only school in our district that will field three levels of tackle football, we feel that's important for the development and enjoyment of the young men in our program.

FRESHMEN FOOTBALL FAQs

When can I start?

CIF does not allow incoming freshmen to participate with us until they've completed 8th grade.

As soon as 8th grade is over, we welcome incoming freshmen to begin working with our program

What can I do to get ready?

Over the summer, aside from our mandated no contact period, we staff our weight room and welcome incoming freshmen from 10:15-11:30 Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

There will also be opportunities to work on the field with our coaches.

What does it cost to play & when does Football start?

There is no cost to play Football. We provide all equipment except for cleats.

For the Fall, we will hand out gear on July 30th, the first day of Football practice is July 31st.

What do I have to do be able to play?

To play any sport at SPHS, students must complete the Athletic Clearance process BEFORE the first day of the season. The clearance process is done completely online and opens for next school year in May.
